Rejoice

Rejoice

In Scripture, God gives us any reasons to rejoice. In the New Testament, we know the commands, “rejoice evermore,” and “rejoice in the Lord, always, and again I say, rejoice.” The book of Deuteronomy is just as clear. In Deuteronomy 16:11, “ God says, “And thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God…….in the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to place His name there.” In other words, there ought to be rejoicing in the church house. That should no keep us from rejoicing in the house of God. Verse 14 says, “And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast…..” So we should rejoice in our fellowship, when we break bread together. Verse 15, Good says “….. and in all the work of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.” We should rejoice in what God enables us to do.” BTW, everyone can do something for the Lord. All that being said, let’s remember that everyone of us is a sinner. We may be saved and on the way to heaven, but we are still sinners. Therefore, no church can ever be a perfect church. There will always be issues because there will always be people. That does not mean we should not rejoice. We should rejoice in church. We should rejoice in fellowship. We should rejoice in what God enables us to do. If we focus on what we can rejoice in, we will find there is a lot less to complain about. Choose to rejoice.
