One of the things that we often take for granted is the help that the Lord provides in our lives. Much of this is because we simply fail to recognize the many ways that the Lord helps us. If we realized it, then his help would not leave us speechless.
Psalm 94:17 “Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.” So how does God help us?
He gives us others who would be a blessing to our souls. This may be physical, spiritual, or emotional, care. Psalm 54:4 “Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.” God offers us others who are willing to help us. When someone is a blessing to us, we should realize that God put them in our path to be help to us.
He gives us a calm in the midst of a crazy world. Hebrews 13:6 “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” It is the Lord’s help that keeps leads us to the realization that we do not need to fear, regardless of what our circumstances.
The Lord will help us to strengthen our faith in times of crisis. Mark 9:24 “And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” When we are going through a storm in our lives, it is God’s help that will provide the faith we need to carry us through the storm. Let us not take so many ways that the Lord is willing to help us for granted.
