Things God Handles For Us

When Nebuchadnezzar calls upon his wise men, his advisors to tell him what he has dreamed and the meaning thereof, they protest. They declare it cannot be done. Daniel, however, comes to the king and declares that it can happen. It cannot happen by the power of man, but only by the power of God. So God can handle things that we cannot.  For you and me, we should recognize what the Lord can do in our lives.

Verse 11 declares, “And it is rare thing that the king requireth.” So when Daniel approaches the king and declares that he will tell the king his dream and its interpretation, Daniel declares that God can handle this rare thing. In your life and mine, the Lord can still handle the rare things.

God can handle the requested things. In verses 17 & 18 of Daniel 2, we see this. Daniel 2:17-18 “Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.” Daniel and his three friends seek answers from the only One who can supply that answer, the Lord God. What happens? That night, God gives Daniel the answer he needs. Why? Daniel asked. God can handle the requested things.

Finally, God handles the revealed things. The captain of the guard goes to the king and says, “I have found a man of the captives of Judah that will make known unto the king the interpretation.” God had revealed the answer to Daniel. Now God moves Daniel into a position where he can reveal what he knows to the king. By the grace of God, Daniel is moved into a position of influence with the king because God has handled the revealed things. God can still do that today for you and me. It doesn’t matter if it is something rare. It was God’s response to the request of God’s people. It was God who used the revealed things
