One of the amazing things about the Lord is that He can make things new. It really does not matter what it is, Christ can make it new. Scripture phrases it this way. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Christ wants us to find new life in Him. He is the way, way, the truth, and the life. When we trust Christ as Saviour, out old lives become transformed into something new. With that new life, other things should become new, too. Psalm 40:3 “And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.”
When we get saved, we can sing a new song, “I’m saved, saved, saved.” “There’s new name written down in glory, and it’s mine.” We have a new song because we have a new life. We have a new praise, that we have a home in heaven. We have a new testimony. People we see what the Lord has done in our lives. We have a new trust – not our old trust in the world, but a faith based trust in Christ.
Let’s take the new life that God has given us and make the most of it!
